Museum commemorates the veterans of World War I
April 6 marks the 100th anniversary of this country’s entry into The Great War, as it was called at the time. Though largely forgotten, New
Jersey’s role in the war—before, during, and after official U.S. participation—was both critical and fascinating. Events are planned throughout the state to tell the story—including a major exhibit at the Eden Woolley House.
Please join us at 6:30, July 29, on the grounds of the Eden Woolley House to raise the flag in memory of the men and women who served in the First World War (1914-1918; for U.S., 1917-1918).
The Woolley House will be open on the evening of Saturday, July 29, 2017. We will have a flag ceremony and remembrance to those veterans who served. The Museum will be open for those attending to come in and see our current exhibits.
Please call or write the Museum (732-531-2136 or OceanMuseum@yahoo.com) or sign up on-line to arrange for your loved one to be honored. Our focus is on local veterans, but we welcome all who wish to be remembered.
